These useless tears 

Flowing down these useless cheeks. 

These useless hands 

These useless feet 

This useless mind 

That cannot change the river’s course. 

This useless pain 

This useless scream

This wicked trick they play 

again. 

This cruelty 

dressed in robes 

This ignorance 

posing as wisdom 

This vanity 

parading as righteousness 

This vile depravity 

stealing innocence with impunity. 

These useless words.

This big grave 

For so many little bodies.
